ALOHA 2 is an enhanced, low-cost hardware platform for bimanual teleoperation, designed to improve performance, ergonomics, and robustness over the original ALOHA. The project open-sources all hardware designs, provides tutorials and a MuJoCo simulation model, and offers kits from Trossen Robotics. Its goal is to enable large-scale data collection for complex manipulation tasks by upgrading grippers, gravity compensation, frame design, and cameras to support more robots, longer operation, and more diverse data.
